As a Licensed Electrician (442A or 309A), you will be part of a team responsible for keeping an industrial manufacturing facility and its equipment in good working order. The Electrician will ensure that all electrical equipment and systems used in the manufacturing of equipment dedicated to the rugged and challenging terrain of the forestry industry are operating properly and well-maintained. Responsibilities will include inspecting equipment for proper functionality, preventative maintenance duties and diagnosing equipment malfunctions for repairs and adjustments as needed. The Electrician must be licensed in Ontario. Location: 1403 Dundas Street, Woodstock, ON Dedicated Shift: 3:30pm – 2:00am, Monday – Thursday Shift Premium: $3.00/hour for afternoons Job Duties General electrical maintenance for the facility, including lighting, electrical repairs, and installations/relocations of electrical components Read, understand, and interpret drawings, blueprints, electrical code specifications and schematics Troubleshoot circuitry issues and replace damaged components on industrial equipment and systems Enhance equipment performance by recommending and implementing improvements Complete accurate technical reports, failure reports, parts listings, and drawing revisions Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks, and tractors to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery Skills and Experience Adapt to a changing work environment, competing demands, and be able to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events Required to inspect, identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues Maintenance tasks require collaboration with coworkers; effective communication and reasoning skills are essential when working on projects that involve multiple team members Physical requirements include the use of strength, such as pulling, pushing, lifting and/or moving objects during work, as well as standing, climbing, kneeling, and bending Potential exposure to weather changes (hot, cold, wind, rain, etc.) when working outside Qualifications Licensed Electrician (442A or 309A) in the province of Ontario Previous electrical experience in an industrial setting Mathematical aptitude What We Can Offer You Family-Oriented Company: Lots of social events, BBQ’s, pizza parties and more!
