As a Welder, you are responsible for welding together metal components to form a final product that is dedicated to the rugged and challenging terrain of the forestry industry. To excel in this role, a strong understanding of welding techniques and an eye for detail is required. Location: 1556 Industrial Road, Cambridge, ON Dedicated Day Shift: 6:00am – 2:30pm, Monday - Friday Job Duties Read and follow technical drawings and blueprints to understand the welding requirements for each product Ensure proper materials are selected for each job to weld together metal components Following safety protocols and wear prescribed personal protective equipment to prevent injuries Operate lifting devices since as cranes (overhead, and/or jib) to complete large welding jobs Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications Ensure welding machines are properly calibrated Repair and rework welds as needed Communicate with supervisors to ensure production schedule are met Skills and Experience Adapt to a changing work environment, competing demands and able to deal with frequent changes, delays or unexpected events Required to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawing specifications, procedures and work instructions Assembly welding tasks require collaboration with coworkers; effective communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions when working on projects that involve multiple team members Physical requirements include standing, climbing, kneeling, and bending while welding Extreme temperature exposure to weather changes (heat) Qualifications Knowledge of fabrication processes including fitting with the assistance of a fixture and welding Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings What We Can Offer You Family-Oriented Company: Lots of social events, BBQ’s, pizza parties and more!
