Fishing Guide (LLMA Lodge) Lac La Martre Adventures is 100% Indigenous owned by Tłı̨chǫ Adventures Ltd., a subsidiary of Tłı̨chǫ Investment Corporation. Lac La Martre Adventures is a remote fly-in sport fishing (catch and release) lodge located on its own island on Lac La Martre in the Northwest Territories. We operate under the umbrella of Tłı̨chǫ Adventures Ltd., committed to providing excellent experiences for guests engaging in a remote wilderness adventure. Our small collaborative team works in a lively and engaging atmosphere, fostering an innovative and creative environment. This is a camp-based position. Fishing Guides stay and work at the lodge during their scheduled rotations. Lac La Martre Adventures provides meals and accommodation at the camp for the duration of each work rotation. Responsibilities: As a Fishing Guide, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional fishing experience to our guests. Responsibilities include: * Leading guided fishing expeditions for guests, ensuring safety and adherence to fishing regulations. * Proficiency in navigating expansive water bodies is advantageous * Promoting and enforcing safe boating practices during fishing excursions. * Assisting with the unloading of float planes and ensuring the safe transport of equipment and supplies. * Participating in general camp duties, including maintaining a tidy and organized camp environment. * Instructing guests on fishing techniques and aiding as needed. * Knowledge of local flora and fauna to enhance the overall wilderness experience. * Maintaining fishing equipment and ensuring its proper functioning. * Upholding environmental conservation practices during fishing activities. * Providing excellent customer service and creating memorable experiences for guests. Qualifications: * Proven experience as a fishing guide preferred. * In-depth knowledge of sport fishing techniques, equipment, and local fishing regulations. * First Aid and CPR certification. * Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC) * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Physical fitness and ability to handle outdoor conditions. Successful security clearances are required. It is recommended you get a copy of your criminal record check when applying.
