POSITION OVERVIEW Toonie Tours is currently hiring Seasonal Full-Time and Part-Time Walking Tour Guides to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. As a Walking Tour Guide, you will lead groups of 5–30 guests on engaging walking tours while sharing the history, culture, and hidden gems of your city. You'll create memorable experiences through storytelling, exceptional customer service, and your passion for your local community. This is an employee position offering competitive hourly pay, performance-based earning opportunities, and employee benefits. Weekend, evening, and holiday availability is preferred throughout the tourism season. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Lead engaging and entertaining walking tours for groups of 5–30 guests. * Learn, research, and confidently present stories about your city's history, culture, and landmarks. * Welcome guests and provide an exceptional customer experience from start to finish. * Share recommendations for local restaurants, attractions, events, and activities. * Promote Toonie Tours experiences and products to enhance each guest's visit. * Represent Toonie Tours professionally while serving as an ambassador for your community. * Participate in training sessions, team meetings, and other assigned duties. * Work outdoors in varying weather conditions. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR * Strong communication and public speaking skills - English Required. * Friendly, energetic, and approachable personality. * Excellent storytelling ability with a sense of humor. * Passion for your community and sharing it with visitors. * Dependable, punctual, and professional. * Comfortable walking approximately 5 km over a 2–3 hour tour while speaking throughout. * Adaptable and confident working in changing outdoor conditions. * Legally authorized to work in Canada. ADDITIONAL LANGUAGES ARE CONSIDERED AN ASSET * French * Spanish * German * Italian * Russian * Other languages are always welcome. First Aid Certification is considered an asset.
