We are seeking a skilled Brake Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating press brake equipment to produce high-quality metal components according to engineering drawings and production specifications. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operator who takes pride in producing accurate work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Weekend shift: Friday to Sunday, 7:30am - 8:00pm daily. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate press brake machines, including the selection and installation of appropriate tooling and dies. Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and work orders. Program, edit, and save press brake programs for production runs. Determine proper bend sequences to ensure efficient and accurate fabrication. Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, tape measures, and other measuring instruments. Verify dimensions in both imperial (inches) and metric (millimetres) units. Maintain product quality by following established quality control procedures. Adhere to all workplace health and safety policies and practices. Perform material handling and heavy lifting as required. Support production requirements and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience operating and setting up press brake equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and manufacturing specifications. Experience using precision measuring instruments, including calipers and tape measures. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good verbal and written English communication skills. Ability to safely perform physically demanding work, including heavy lifting. Hourly rate: $24.95 per hour
