Field Service Technician - Crushing

Toromont Cat is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Crushing Field Service Technician to join our growing Crushing team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining crushing and screening equipment at customer sites across the region. This position requires strong technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently in demanding field environments. Pay Type Full Time, Permanent Compensation $48.72 to $51.55 The listed wage is just one component of our total rewards package, and eligibility to additional premiums may be available. As a Field Service Technician, YOU will experience: * Working within one of the safest organizations in the industry where your safety and well-being are our most important priority * Working for the best in class equipment dealer and with the premium Caterpillar brand * Opportunities to continuously Learn, Grow and Develop with our Toromont team through our internal Training teams that are geared for your success * Competitive total rewards including: wages, benefits, and premiums (as eligible) * An opportunity for flexible work schedules and opportunities across multiple locations across Eastern Canada In a typical day, YOU will: * Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on crushing and screening equipment * Perform preventative maintenance and component replacements (e.g., liners, bearings, conveyors) * Commission new equipment and support customer startups * Complete detailed service reports, time entries, and documentation in a timely manner Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and branch teams * Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Toromont safety standards and procedures * Collaborate with branches to ensure alignment on all service activities and customer communication Must-haves for this role: * Diploma or certification in Heavy Equipment Technician or certified Millwright * Minimum 3 years of experience working on crushing and screening equipment * Strong knowledge of hydraulics, diesel engines, and electrical troubleshooting * Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals * Experience with mobile crushing plants (jaw, cone, and screeners) * A valid Driver’s Licence (AZ/DZ Licence preferred) * Experience with lockout/tagout, working at heights, and confined space procedures is an asset About Toromont Cat With over 4,000 employees and 56 locations from Manitoba to Newfoundland, Toromont Cat has a proven track record, industry knowledge, dealership infrastructure, and service mindset to ensure our Construction, Mining, and Power Generation customers succeed. The technician will diagnose, repair, and maintain crushing and screening equipment at various customer sites. They are also responsible for commissioning new equipment and completing detailed service documentation.

Candidates must hold a diploma or certification as a Heavy Equipment Technician or Millwright with at least 3 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in hydraulics, diesel engines, and electrical systems is required, along with a valid driver's license.
