Toromont Cat is looking for a Heavy Equipment Technicians to join their team in the Atlantic region! In this role, you will be responsible for servicing a specific line of Caterpillar equipment and components both in the shop and/or in the field. Your day will include planning, troubleshooting, and completing repairs, along with preparing clear and accurate service reports for customers. We’re looking for technicians who enjoy working with a diverse product range and bring an enthusiastic, team‑focused approach. Please note: the successful candidate may be based anywhere in Atlantic Canada, including NS, NB, PEI or NL. Pay Type Full Time, Permanent Compensation $42.57 - $51.55 per hour The listed wage is just one component of our total rewards package, and eligibility to additional premiums may be available. As a Heavy Equipment Technician, YOU will experience: * Working within one of the safest organizations in the industry where your safety and well-being are our most important priority * Working for the best in class equipment dealer and with the premium Caterpillar brand * Opportunities to continuously Learn, Grow and Develop with our Toromont team through our internal Training teams that are geared for your success * Competitive total rewards including: wages, benefits, and premiums (as eligible) * An opportunity for flexible work schedules and opportunities across multiple locations across Eastern Canada In a typical day, YOU will: * Possess a solid work ethic and a positive attitude to get the job done right and on time. * Demonstrate safe, environmentally responsible, and healthy work behaviours in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Culture. * Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using Caterpillar testing equipment and advanced technical skills. * Repair Caterpillar diesel engines, OEM truck and coach vehicles, and other heavy equipment within established time and quality standards. * Repair and service Caterpillar and other heavy equipment according to established procedures and expectations. * Prepare clear, accurate service and repair reports in a timely manner. * Maintain excellent customer relationships through frequent communication and regular on‑site visits. * Undertake additional assignments as required to support customer needs.
