Employer Overview Total Oilfield Rentals (TOR) offers rental and transportation of drilling, completion and production equipment to the oil and natural gas industry throughout Western Canada and the Northwestern United States. Our mission is to exceed customer expectations by supplying superior rental equipment, transportation services and product support. Position Summary Total Oilfield Rentals is currently looking for a Heavy Haul Driver to join our team. Reporting to the Branch Manager and operating a Kenworth, the Heavy Haul Driver, will be responsible for transporting equipment within Canada, and into the United States, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the safety of the cargo. This position is fulltime and is based out of our Leduc location. Time Commitment Maximum allowable as per Hours of Service. Time off to be scheduled with the branch manager. Paid HOS resets on the road with hotel room. Summary of Duties (Duties may include, but are not limited to the following): * Operating TOR’s tractor and lowboy & multi-axle equipment trailers, moving equipment across long distances, adhering to all traffic regulations and safety protocols. * Transport over dimensional and over weight loads, as per permitted route in Western Canada and the Canada/US trade route between Edmonton and the Permian Basin (West Texas) * Safely Load and unload equipment and secure loads for transportation as required. * Ability to use app-based systems on a cell phone or tablet * Perform daily preventative maintenance inspections and safety checks to proactively identify any potential mechanical issues and advise the Branch Manager. * Always keep the truck in a clean and professional condition. * Ensures truck/trailer is returned to the company yard full of fuel at the end of each day. * Assist other employees when required. Qualifications & Experience * Applicants with Heavy Haul and Hydraulic Platform experience would be given preference. * Oilfield winch truck experience is an asset * Must have a valid Class 1 Drivers License with 5 years of experience * Must be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident * Minimum of 3 years of cross border heavy haul experience * Must have a clean driver’s abstract * Current Criminal record check in good standing * Ability to operate a forklift and other heavy equipment * Legally able to enter the United States for work purposes * Ability to work in a team environment or independently * Maintains a clean-shaven appearance, demonstrates professionalism, and consistently exhibits courteous behavior.
