Reporting to the Recreation Coordinator, Line Dancing Instructors are an integral part of the Recreation and Culture Branch. The Line Dancing Instructor is responsible for planning, organizing and leading line dance programs for adults in a group setting. Key Duties & Responsibilities: • Lead instructional line dance programs. • Work with participants with disabilities and/or support needs to ensure active participation. • Provide adaptations and modifications to planned exercises/techniques and/or available equipment where appropriate, to make them inclusive for all ages and needs. • Create a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment for all participants. • Take attendance. • Communicate with participants and their parents. • Report any issues, concerns, or areas of development to the Recreation Coordinator. • Create weekly lesson plans. Experience & Qualifications: • Minimum 1 year experience teaching line dance in a group setting. • Excellent customer service skills. • Experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or support needs, preferably in a recreational setting. • This position requires an outgoing, cooperative individual who can function in a dynamic environment. • Ability to deal with challenging and confidential situations. • Previous experience planning and implementing inclusive program plans an asset. • Valid Standard First Aid & CPR-C Certificate or willing to obtain prior employment. • Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check is required. • Availability/flexibility to work daytime, evenings, and weekends. Exigences

Candidates must have at least one year of experience teaching line dance in a group setting and possess excellent customer service skills. A valid Standard First Aid & CPR-C certificate and a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check are required.
