Candidates must hold an examiner status in their certified teaching stream by the start of the contract. The Master Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality advanced leadership courses, including National Lifeguard and Aquatic Supervisor training. They must manage administrative duties and coordinate tasks while maintaining a positive environment for students of all abilities.

Candidates must hold instructor certifications for leadership courses, examiner status in their teaching stream, and current NL and Intermediate First Aid with CPR-C & AED. A satisfactory criminal record and vulnerable sector screening check are mandatory conditions of employment.
