Trail Appliances is looking for a District Sales Manager, Business Development to lead and expand our Multi-Family Builder Sales team across BC. Reporting directly to the Director of Multi-Family Sales, you’ll combine hands-on leadership with disciplined sales execution—overseeing team performance, implementing structured processes, and partnering across departments to deliver exceptional client experiences and achieve ambitious business goals. As the District Sales Manager, Multi Family Builder Business Development, you will Lead and drive business development for a team of Builder KAMs, setting clear expectations for performance, accountability, and service excellence Create and implement standardized sales processes, workflows, and best practices across the region Conduct quarterly sales reviews with each KAM and lead bi-annual supplier learning sessions Manage and elevate team performance through coaching, one-on-ones, performance reviews, and development plans Analyze sales activity, pipeline health, margins, and forecasting accuracy, leading quarterly business reviews to drive accountability and results Partner with the Director of Multi Family Builder Sales on recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention initiatives Drive consistent ERP usage and data integrity for accurate reporting and decision-making Oversee quoting, pricing, and contract execution to ensure accuracy, consistency, and profitability Manage expense budgets aligned to strategic market opportunities Resolve escalated client, operational, and credit-related issues Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless project execution Co-facilitate the annual sales meeting and support regional sales planning Execute the Strategic Annual Sales Plan To be successful in this role, you have Proven experience managing and coaching sales teams in residential construction or complex B2B environments Strong leadership and performance management capabilities with a track record of delivering results through teams Experience implementing structured sales processes and driving discipline Strong business acumen with analytical and decision-making skills Experience with CRM systems, reporting, and forecasting tools Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under deadlines A true hunger for success: not only loves to win, but equally hates to lose Bonus points if you have Experience in the appliance, developer, or construction supply industry Experience building and leading regional sales teams Exposure to change management or sales transformation Cross-functional leadership in matrixed organizations Post-secondary education in business or related field Who you'll work with Director of Multi Family Builder Sales KAMs and internal management teams Operations, logistics, delivery, and client service teams Builders, developers, installers, and industry partners Suppliers and vendors Work Environment Office-based with regular field presence across the Lower Mainland Full-time schedule with flexibility based on business needs Evening and weekend industry events as required Moderate regional travel Why Join Trail Competitive salary Extended health benefits PPE allowance Generous employee discounts Career development opportunities Employee recognition program Company events and volunteer initiatives A fun, dynamic environment where your strengths and personality shine We inspire possibilities, make shopping ridiculously easy, and help create special moments at home.
