Job Description Reporting to the Director, Financial reports and optimization, the Senior Financial Analyst will participate in the analysis and preparation of Air Transat's financial statements and be responsible for the accounting and financial aspects of the aircraft leases. The incumbent's thoroughness, methodology and excellent analytical skills will also contribute to the overall financial reporting process. Responsibilities ▪ Act as the responsible for the balance sheet and coordinate the analysis of balance sheet accounts; ▪ Prepare balance sheet/profit and loss, budgeted balance sheet/ profit and loss and forecasted balance sheet/ profit and loss; ▪ Produce monthly financial statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements; ▪ Complete financial information for consolidation purposes; ▪ Coordinate month ends and closing in SAP; ▪ Analyze financial clauses of aircraft leases and make calculations in relation to new leases and amendments (IFRS 16); ▪ Act as an internal consultant for all issues related to the consolidation and accounting of leases; ▪ Analyze insurance and fixed assets; ▪ Coordinate, communicate and schedule internal and external audits; ▪ Respond to all requests from governmental authorities. Qualifications ▪ Recognized professional designation (CPA); ▪ Minimum of 5 years experience, open to candidates in public practice; ▪ Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills; ▪ Strong interest in the use and maximization of SAP; ▪ Good knowledge of IFRS standards; ▪ Excellent knowledge of Excel; ▪ Good knowledge of Microsoft suite tools; ▪ Ability to work under tight deadlines. ▪ Oral and written fluency in French and English * *A good knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will be required to communicate and collaborate frequently in English, both orally and in writing, with colleagues, customers, and other stakeholders in Quebec, the rest of Canada, and internationally.
