For decades, TRAPA has built a reputation as one of North America’s leading exporters and marketers of specialty forest products. Our business spans custom cut programs, export trading, industrial products, Western Red Cedar, Douglas fir, Hemlock, Yellow Cedar, specialty SPF products, and value-added lumber programs sold throughout Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and North America. Our strength comes from long term relationships, deep market knowledge, entrepreneurial thinking, and the ability to connect customers with unique forest product solutions across a broad network of manufacturing partners. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys relationship building, problem solving, international business, and working in a fast moving team environment. The successful candidate will work directly alongside experienced traders and senior leadership while learning the complexities of specialty lumber sales, export markets, logistics, customer development, and global trade. This is not a traditional desk job. Every day presents different challenges, opportunities, products, customers, and markets. Post secondary education in business, forestry, marketing, international trade, or a related field is considered an asset. What Makes This Opportunity Different • Exposure to international markets and global business • Direct mentorship from experienced industry professionals • Opportunity for long term career growth • Entrepreneurial and collaborative culture • Exposure to specialty and custom cut lumber programs rather than purely commodity trading • Opportunity to travel domestically and internationally • Ability to build meaningful industry relationships Compensation TRAPA offers a competitive compensation structure with long term earning potential tied to individual growth, contribution, and performance. If you are looking for an opportunity to build a rewarding long term career within the forest products industry, we would welcome the opportunity to speak with you.
