What You’ll Do As a Service Technician, you’ll support the installation, maintenance, and servicing of communication systems that power Alberta’s industries. Working alongside experienced team members, you’ll learn to: * Install and service communication and electronic equipment on vehicles and in field environments * Assist with troubleshooting, testing, and programming of radio equipment * Perform radio diagnostics and programming * Provide customer service and troubleshooting support in person and over the phone * Work with conventional, trunking, and P25 radio systems * Use electrical schematics, hand tools, and test equipment safely and effectively * Contribute to a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous learning What You Bring * Strong problem-solving, mechanical, and electronic aptitude electronic aptitude) * Experience using hand tools and power tools * A positive attitude and eagerness to learn * Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude * A focus on safety and reliability * An interest in electronics, technology, or communications * Education or hands-on experience in a related field is an asset but not required * If you’re willing to work hard and learn, we’ll provide the training and support to help you grow into a skilled technician. The Service Technician will install, maintain, and troubleshoot communication and electronic equipment in both vehicle and field environments. They will also provide technical support to customers and perform radio diagnostics and programming.

Candidates must possess a valid Class 5 Canadian Driver’s License and be able to pass a criminal record check and drug/alcohol testing. While not required, a 2-year Electronics Engineering Technology diploma or related education is considered an asset.
