Full Time | Alert Bay Housing Maintenance Worker Salary: $45,879 - $53,368 per year, commensurate with experience Reports to: Housing Manager Posting closes: Until filled About The Role Reporting to the Housing Manager, the Housing Maintenance Worker will provide maintenance support for 'Namgis First nation homes. The Housing Manager Worker will work in conjunction with both the Housing Manager and Clerk to ensure quality maintenance records and planning. Specific Responsibilities Liaise with both the Housing Manager and Clerk in coordination and follow-through with maintenance requests Work directly with tenants in reviewing sustainable housing care and maintenance lead/facilitate the process of: Risk assessment, tenancy reports, inspection reports working relationship with other 'Namgis departments and other stakeholders required Related administrative tasks including record keeping, filing and other related duties Participate in training, in-person or on-line, as required Provide on-call support to the Housing department upon request Skills & Experience Requirements Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and related software is preferred. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. Experience in general building maintenance or a trades background is an asset. Education/Qualifications Grade 12 or equivalent is preferred. Valid driver's license. Satisfactory criminal record check and vulnerable sector search. What We Offer Relocation and/or housing support may be provided.
