The Lead Assistant Coach supports the Men's Soccer team through game preparation, tactical implementation, and player development. They are also responsible for recruiting efforts and assisting with youth camps and training sessions.

Position Purpose and Summary The Lead Assistant Coach helps with Canada West Team activities including games, practice/training, recruiting, and player management. Key Areas of Accountability Competitions * Help with game preparation * Attend all games home and away * Help with game model and tactics * Prepare players in warm up and substitutions Development * Help with preparation of season plan for development of players holistically * Help prepare daily soccer training sessions and microcycles. * Oversee development of group of players * Help provide more capacity for CCA development Recruiting * Help evaluate recruits for soccer, academic, and cultural fit. * Attend recruiting events * Help with organization of recruiting * Help create recruiting material Youth Programs * Be available for all youth camps and academies * Help with running training sessions for local teams. Key Interactions Reports: None Reports to: Head Coach, Men’s Soccer Job Standards and Requirements Education: * Undergraduate degree/ BA and previous experience in related field. * Valid Sports-Aid and CPR certificate are to be provided prior to commencement of employment and annually thereafter. * Level II or equivalent NCCP coaching certification and Canada Soccer B License preferred. Experience: Experience playing at the University Varsity level required Knowledge and Skills: * Demonstrated skills and knowledge in elite level sport. * Excellent interpersonal skills and communication. * Ability to work with students, parents, head coach, faculty, staff, administration and members of the media effectively. Exigences
Candidates must hold an undergraduate degree and have experience playing at the University Varsity level. A Level II NCCP coaching certification or Canada Soccer B License is preferred, along with valid Sports-Aid and CPR certification.
