ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT, EXECUTIVE SOLTUIONS TORONTO Reporting to the Regional Vice President, Specialty Insurance, Ontario, the successful applicant will be passionate, and results oriented with the ability to lead a team of Executive Solutions underwriters. The successful applicant will work with the team in Toronto who underwrite and market our Suite for Executive Solutions products including; Directors’ and Officers’ Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Fiduciary Liability and Fidelity policies. As an integral member of the team, you will bring: Dedication to exceptional customer service Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities Strong leadership skills An innovative mindset for delivering thorough solutions Passion for excellence and detail orientation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to develop new business through networking/marketing with brokers, clients, consultants, lawyers and represent Trisura at various industry related functions Self-motivation and entrepreneurial outlook with solid interpersonal skills and an ability to work within a team environment Accountabilities include: Representing our Executive Solutions team in the Ontario region. Helping to build and develop a team of Underwriters and acting as a subject matter expert Engaging, motivating and mentoring the team Marketing and sourcing new business opportunities Managing and building a portfolio of Executive Solutions insurance accounts Taking responsibility for the profitable growth and retention of the business portfolio through understanding of Trisura’s appetite and diligent risk selection and underwriting Helping devise regional strategy, plans and budgets for the Executive Solutions team in BC Collaborating with other departments to engage in cross selling opportunities Evaluating exposures and determining appropriate terms and conditions of coverage Learning new product lines and coverages as they are developed Participating in team strategy and product development at a local and regional level Establishing, developing and maintaining broker relationships Maintaining a thorough understanding of relevant industry, business and legal trends and their impact on products offered Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary education in business, finance, accounting, marketing, or insurance preferred 5+ years of experience in underwriting Directors’ and Officer’s Liability insurance product lines 2+ years of experience managing a small team Location: Downtown Toronto – Hybrid Salary: The expected salary in this position is within the range of $135,000 - $160,000 This salary range reflects the expected base compensation for the role across Canada. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and scope of responsibilities. Trisura provides this range in good faith in accordance with applicable legislation.
