Job Summary The Production Associate is responsible for the safe start-up, monitoring, and maintenance of screening and stacking equipment, as well as maintaining overall yard cleanliness and operational efficiency. This role ensures equipment is functioning properly, site standards are upheld, and customers are supported in a professional and safe manner. Duties & Responsibilities * Inspect stackers and star screen equipment for damage, obstructions, and proper safety guard installation. * Ensure equipment is clean, operational, and refueled as required. * Monitor belts, hydraulic lines, and pond pumps; report any issues to maintenance. * Check pond levels and follow SOP procedures for compost material stages. * Operate Bobcat with magnet attachment to remove metal debris from yard areas. * Maintain cleanliness around screening plants and stackers throughout the day. * Remove plastics and other contaminants from incoming materials. * Inspect customer loads for acceptable materials (wood, chips, logs, rubble). * Assist with bin emptying and general yard operations. * Store tools securely, complete required paperwork, and close out the yard at end of shift. Qualifications * High school, or GED * Vehicle required or reliable way to get to work * Experience operating a front-end loader is considered an asset Physical Demands * Standing for long periods of time * Ability to lift 50lbs from the ground * Climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl * Use hands to sort through materials Work Environment * Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes and airborne particles. * Exposure to the outside weather conditions. * The noise level in the environment is medium too high. * Must enjoy working outdoors rain or shine, hot or cold.
