Role Description The Education and Training Admin Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Prince George, BC. This position supports the Education and Training department through daily administrative tasks such as managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and maintaining records and databases for learners and programs. The role includes preparing and formatting documents, organizing training materials, processing registrations, and tracking attendance and completion of courses. The Admin Assistant will liaise with educators, training providers, and community members, respond to inquiries, support reporting and data entry, and help coordinate events, workshops, and other educational initiatives aligned with TKDN’s goals. Qualifications Strong administrative and organizational skills, including managing schedules, records, and documentation. Proficiency with office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email, databases) and comfort with learning new digital tools. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact respectfully with diverse community members and stakeholders. Attention to detail in data entry, document preparation, and record-keeping, with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality. Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively in a small team environment. Understanding of or interest in education, training, or community development, ideally with experience in an educational or administrative setting. Demonstrated commitment to TKDN’s values, including respect, responsiveness, and support for community goals. High school diploma required; post-secondary training in administration, education, or a related field is considered an asset. Previous experience working with Indigenous communities or in a community-based organization is an asset.
