Full Stack Developer (IOS and Web)

Position: iOS & Web Developer Location: Toronto (hybrid - 3 days onsite) Expected duration: 6 Months About the Role We are seeking an experienced iOS & Web Developer to support the development and enhancement of mobile and web-based applications. The successful candidate will work across both iOS and browser-based technologies, developing new features, maintaining existing functionality, and contributing to all phases of the software development lifecycle. This role requires a strong understanding of Swift development, modern JavaScript frameworks, web extension architecture, and collaborative Agile development practices. What You'll Do Development & Coding Design, develop, and maintain iOS and web applications. Build and enhance browser extension functionality including background scripts, content scripts, and user interfaces. Develop native iOS components and integrations using Swift. Implement new features based on product requirements and technical specifications. Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following development standards. Participate in peer code reviews and technical discussions. Testing & Quality Assurance Test applications across multiple devices, operating systems, and browsers. Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and performance issues. Develop unit tests and contribute to integration testing activities. Collaborate with QA teams to ensure successful delivery. Collaboration & Communication Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, QA Analysts, and Backend Developers. Participate in sprint planning, standups, and Agile ceremonies. Communicate project progress, technical risks, and blockers effectively. Contribute technical ideas and recommendations during planning sessions. Support & Continuous Improvement Maintain and enhance existing applications. Document technical solutions and development decisions. Research emerging technologies and recommend improvements where appropriate. Optimize application performance and user experience. Required Qualifications 3-5 years of professional iOS development experience. Strong experience developing applications using Swift. Experience with modern JavaScript (ES6+). Experience with React and JSX. Experience with Node.js and CommonJS environments. Experience building or supporting browser/web extensions. Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive web development. Experience working with source control and collaborative development practices. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience developing Safari extensions and integrating with native iOS applications. Experience implementing native bridges between web and mobile applications. Experience with build and deployment tools. Experience maintaining webpack configurations and package management. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar technologies. The developer will design, develop, and maintain iOS and web applications, including browser extensions and native iOS components. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to implement new features and optimize application performance.

Candidates need 3-5 years of professional iOS development experience with strong proficiency in Swift, React, and Node.js. Experience building browser extensions and working with modern JavaScript (ES6+) is required.
