Construction Manager – Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) Project

Frontier-Kemper, a Tutor Perini Company, is seeking a Construction Manager to join our project in Squamish, BC. Extraordinary Projects need Exceptional Talent Description: As a Construction Manager at Frontier-Kemper, reporting to the Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to: * Assist with assigned project under direction of the Project Manager\Project Executive * Assist with project budgets and minimize exposure and risk on projects * Ensure procurement and proposal development activities move according to schedule * Communicate effectively with the sub-contractors and vendors responsible for completing various phases of work * Coordinate the efforts of all parties involved in projects, including the owner, architect, consultants, contractors, and sub-contractors * Monitor/report the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and hold regular status meetings with clients and/or consultant team * Maintain strict adherence to quality and safety standards * Integrate new technology and mining methods at existing projects to improve production * Assist with preparation of post-bid work plans, procurement, scheduling, and cost control * Actively participate in production tracking and post-job analysis Requirements: * A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar * 10+ years of experience with Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) operations, specifically EPB & Mixshield TBMs. * Hands-on experience with Herrenknecht equipment * 5 or more years’ experience as a Project Manager or Construction Manager in heavy civil, mining, or a related area * Previous experience with project management, field engineering, estimating, and/or project scheduling * Ability and willingness to work on construction sites (mines and tunnels) within an underground environment * OSHA 30, MSHA Instructor and Underground Mine Examiner Certifications are all preferred OUR MISSION We build critical infrastructure that creates a better world. The Construction Manager will assist the Project Manager/Project Executive with assigned projects, focusing on budget management, risk minimization, and ensuring procurement and proposal development activities adhere to the schedule. This role involves coordinating all involved parties, including owners, consultants, and subcontractors, while monitoring construction progress and maintaining quality and safety standards.

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a similar field, coupled with over 10 years of experience specifically in Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) operations, including EPB and Mixshield types, with hands-on experience with Herrenknecht equipment. A minimum of five years of experience as a Project Manager or Construction Manager in heavy civil or mining is required, along with the ability to work in underground environments.
