Associate Principal, Rights & Interests Assessment

Working collaboratively with First Nations, Métis, Inuit, industry, and the public sector, we support informed decision-making through practical, culturally grounded, and technically sound solutions. We are seeking an Associate Principal to provide senior technical leadership in Rights and Interests Assessment, Indigenous-led and community-informed assessment approaches, environmental and impact assessment, and regulatory decision-making across Canada. Our consultants also work across our service areas, applying their expertise to a diverse range of projects, clients, and sectors. Location: Remote within Canada (home-based, with occasional travel). Hybrid or office-based options available for candidates located in Victoria or Vancouver, BC. Compensation: $125,000-$135,000 annually based on a 37.5-hour work week. Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated expertise, with flexibility for exceptional candidates. What You'll Do Lead complex Indigenous Rights and Interests Assessments and related impact assessment work. Serve as a senior technical advisor to clients, Indigenous Nations, project teams, and regulators. Develop clear, defensible analyses, technical reports, and regulatory submissions. Mentor consultants and contribute to technical excellence across the organization. Support business development activities, proposals, and long-term client relationships. What We're Looking For 10+ years of experience in consulting, advisory, or professional services environments. Demonstrated experience leading Indigenous Rights and Interests Assessments for environmental or impact assessment projects. Strong analytical, technical, and communication skills. Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring team members, and building trusted client relationships. A degree in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience. Indigenous lived experience is considered a strong asset.
