Overview The Tyndale Company, an industry-leading employer and multiple Top Workplace winner, is looking for a detail-oriented Trimmer to join our production team! As a Trimmer, you’ll put the finishing touches on our customized garments before they make their way to our customers. You’ll inspect completed embroidery, remove backing and loose threads, check garments for quality, and prepare finished orders for the next step in production or shipment. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has an eye for detail, and takes pride in quality. No previous trimming or garment-production experience is required. Responsibilities Trim backing left on garments; Remove loose threads and lint left by embroidery machine; Fold and organize finished garments; Double and triple inspect completed embroidered items against the information on the pick ticket and logo worksheet; Check garments for stains, holes, or imperfections; Pack items into proper bins, making sure all items are in the order and ensure they are ready for shipment; Communicate issues with supervisor and others on the team; Transport completed orders to Shipping Dept.; Perform other duties and projects as assigned; Transport completed orders to Shipping department, or to other Embellishments operations (Alternations, Heat Transfer, etc.) as per pick ticket. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required; preferred but not required Knowledge of fabrics and their characteristics is preferred, but not required; Excellent attention to detail; Meets and exceeds established production standard logos per hour; Ability to work well with team members and is personable; Capable of lifting 20lbs without assistance; Work Environment/Physical Demands: Working conditions are pleasant in a temperature controlled room. Expectations include standing for lengths of time, lifting bins that weigh approximately 20 lbs without assistance, and is considered to be physically active.
