Faculty members require responsive administrative support to assist with teaching preparation, research activities, and academic administration. What We Offer Full-time | Continuing | Fredericton | On-Campus Standard Work Hours: Mon - Fri | 8:15 am - 4:30 pm | 36.25 hours per week Salary Range: $23.48 - $27.26 per hour YOUR FOCUS Reporting to the Manager of Academic Affairs & Student Services, the Faculty Support Coordinator (Secretary PL4), provides a blend of writing-focused, organizational, and administrative support to faculty members. The role combines higher-level document preparation and coordination functions with traditional administrative responsibilities that contribute directly to teaching and research effectiveness. Proofread and format presentations, reports, articles, and other professional or academic documents. Ensure consistency, clarity, and adherence to formatting standards. Assist in preparing presentation materials for conferences, lectures, and professional events. Provide administrative support related to research activities, including formatting and assembling documents and supporting timelines. Assist faculty with coordinating research grant application materials, ensuring documentation is complete and properly organized. Liaise with centralized university services (e.g., Office of Research Services) to ensure compliance with institutional processes and avoid duplication of functions. Support preparation of reports and research documentation as required. Assist with preparation and distribution of course materials, including assembling course packs and coordinating with appropriate campus services. Support faculty in organizing teaching resources and course documentation. Assist with uploading and maintaining course content within learning management systems, where applicable. Help ensure materials are prepared and distributed in a timely manner. Provide general administrative support to faculty members, including correspondence, scheduling assistance, and document preparation. Coordinate meeting logistics and maintain organized records and filing systems. Support routine academic administrative processes as required. Assist faculty with planning conference travel, including itineraries, registrations, and documentation. Prepare required materials and support reimbursement processes in accordance with university policies. Provide reception or clerical support as required within the broader administrative team. Assist with special projects and faculty initiatives. Perform other related duties as assigned. What You Bring Undergraduate Degree in any discipline Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple priorities and managing detailed administrative processes. Additional Strengths Experience providing administrative or academic support in a higher education environment. Experience supporting research, teaching, or professional services environments. Exceptional written communication skills and strong attention to detail. Excellent proofreading, editing, and formatting abilities. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students. High level of proficiency with standard office software and document formatting tools. Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
