About the position This role oversees branch inventory and supply planning, driving performance, managing supplier relationships, and leading a team to support overall business goals. What you’ll do: * Establishes, tracks and communicates branch targets related to inventory and service performance * Manages, develops, mentors and trains purchasing personnel including a team of Supply Planners, Forecaster and Inventory Coordinator * Works proactively with purchasing and sales teams to monitor and reduce underperforming inventory * Assesses purchasing options and completes purchase approvals * Establishes goals and strategies for improved forecast performance for the branch and works directly with the Forecaster and Sales team to review performance and opportunities for improvement * Works closely with other department managers to meet and exceed branch goals * Hires, promotes, changes responsibilities of, evaluates and recommends salary increases for staff directly supervised * Other duties as required What you’ll need: * University degree or specialized certification (PMAC, APICS, or related work experience) * Ability to analyze alternatives, use judgment and initiative in managing inventory * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Experienced with ERP – MRP systems * Must be highly organized * Minimum (2) years of management experience required Where you'll work: Univar Solutions Canada Ltd 64 Arrow Rd, North York, Ontario M9M 2L9 Pay and benefits: This position is currently vacant. The annual expected salary range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
