Qualifications • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, materials engineering, concrete technology, construction materials, chemistry, or related discipline. • Minimum of 7 years of relevant concrete industry experience, from ready-mix, precast, concrete products, cement, or chemical admixtures. • Previous experience as a Concrete Quality Manager, Quality Control Manager, Technical Services Manager, Laboratory Manager, or similar role. • Strong knowledge of concrete materials, mix design, batching, production, testing, and quality-control practices. • Hands-on experience with fresh and hardened concrete testing. • Demonstrated ability to investigate and resolve concrete performance and production issues. • Familiarity with applicable ASTM, CSA, ACI, and concrete industry standards. • Strong data analysis, technical writing, documentation, and communication skills. • Ability to build effective relationships with plant personnel, technicians, engineers, contractors, customers, and commercial teams. • Willingness to travel regularly and attend trials that may occur outside standard business hours. • Valid driver’s license. Preferred Experience • Implementation of new concrete admixtures or technologies at commercial production plants. • Experience with low-carbon, high-performance, precast, or specialty concrete. • Knowledge of supplementary cementitious materials, including slag, fly ash, silica fume, limestone, and calcined clay. • Experience with statistical quality control and concrete-production data analysis. • Relevant ACI, CCIL, NRMCA, or equivalent concrete testing and technical certifications.Success in This Role Please note we use automated tools and AI in our hiring process.
