UHN’s vision is to build A Healthier World and it’s only because of the talented and dedicated people who work here that we are continually bringing that vision closer to reality. www.uhn.ca Job Description Union: ONA PMH Number of Vacancies: 1 New or Replacement Position: Replacement Site: Princess Margaret Cancer Centre Department: Acute Care Program- Urgent Care Clinic, Radiation Nursing Clinic, Day Oncology Clinic, Central Line Blood Draws, Procedure Clinic and Post Operative Care unit Reports to: Nurse Manager Wage Range: $41.15 - $58.98 per hour (start rate is non-negotiable) Hours: 18 hours per week Shifts: 10 hr shifts with different start time Status: Permanent Part-Time Closing Date: September 3, 2026 Position Summary As a member of the UHN, the Nursing Multi-disciplinary Team and Ambulatory Clinics, the Registered Nurse practices in accordance with relevant legislation / standards, meeting the legal and ethical requirements of the profession. Duties The principal responsibilities include: Applying knowledge of nursing science, theory, skill and critical decision making in the provision of compassionate, collaborative and competent care in accordance with the UHN Professional Practice Model for Nursing and the mission and vision of nursing at UHN Ensuring practice is consistent with professional standards and the ethical framework as outlined by the College of Nurses of Ontario and the UHN policy and procedure Demonstrating commitment to professional life-long learning by participating in continuing education activities to meet the needs of the patient population served and the standards of the profession (performing reflective practice, analyzing and evaluating nursing knowledge and modifying practice accordingly to improve the quality of nursing and patient care Performing cross-functional and other responsibilities, as assigned and / or requested). Qualifications Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario required Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred Certificate in Oncology Nursing and/or CNA Oncology Certification preferred. Minimum three (3) years nursing experience in an Ambulatory setting preferred. Oncology nursing experience required Current B.C.L.S. certification required. Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification preferred Emergency and Critical Care Nursing experience preferred Completion of CORN1 course preferred Advanced Cardiac Life Support (A.C.L.S) certification preferred Excellent IV and venipuncture skills required with working knowledge of Central Venous Catheters (PICCs, Ports and tunneled lines) Demonstrated ability to utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing and evaluating care Good verbal and written communication skills Evidence of co-operative and facilitative relationships while working with a multidisciplinary team, and the ability to work independently Evidence of good psycho-social and patient / family teaching skills Demonstrated leadership / in-charge skills, and evidence of strong organizational and decision-making skills Evidence of commitment to self-directed learning Additional Information Why join UHN?
