Position Summary This is a temporary, in-person, non-benefitted position in the Office of Graduate Education. This position will work closely with the enrollment team to help prepare admission files and assist with the preliminary application review for graduate programs during the peak admissions season. The successful candidates must have strong attention to detail, work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment, and have excellent customer service skills. This position requires working at a computer for the majority of the day and the ability to be seated for extended periods. Applicants must be available to work Monday through Friday except for University holidays and closures. There are two positions available. Please specify in your cover letter if you are interested in the January or March end date. * October 2026 – January 2027 * October 2026 – March 2027 This is a non-benefited position not to exceed 1,000 hours in a calendar year. Essential Functions While upholding and following University policies and procedures, the following duties are required for this position: * Review and examine prospective students’ graduate applications and academic records utilizing established standards and guidelines to ensure applicants meet minimum University standards. * Prepare admission files for academic units by organizing electronic application materials, reviewing for completion, completing data entry, and notifying applicants of any missing items. * Process admissions files in a timely and accurate manner based on priorities set by admissions team. * Using sound judgment and excellent customer service skills, respond to a high volume of e-mail inquiries regarding graduate admission applications. * Review and prepare applicant files for final OGE decision approval and release. * Perform other projects, as assigned, to support the admissions team and OGE. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Strong attention to detail and analytical skills * Can quickly learn and use new software systems including the University’s admissions CRM system, Slate * Exercise confidentiality, discretion and good judgment * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team * Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree * Administrative office experience * Computer proficiency skills Preferred Qualifications * Higher education and/or admissions experience Work Schedule * Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., 35 hours/week, seasonal October 2026 – January or March 2027 * This is an in-person position at the University of Denver. In accordance with the University’s flexible work policy, this position is eligible to be considered for partial remote work after a preliminary period. Further details regarding this plan will be determined with the hiring manager and are dependent on team specific needs. Hourly Rate: The hourly rate for this position is $21.00. The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
