We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Boiler & Building Systems Operator in our first class rated Heating Plant. Reporting to the Chief Engineer when assigned to the Central Heating Plant and to the Mechanical Supervisor (Preventative Maintenance) when assigned to the Utilities Maintenance Crew, this position offers an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the operation and maintenance of our heating plant and auxiliary systems. The incumbent will be responsible for carrying out assigned operating and maintenance duties within the University of Regina’s heating plant and/or Utilities Maintenance Crew. When assigned to the heating plant, the position is under the supervision of the Shift Engineer, in accordance with the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Act and Regulations. The incumbent is also responsible for assisting in the operation and maintenance of the heating plant’s high pressure steam boilers, refrigeration equipment, and all associated auxiliary equipment and systems. When conditions and work load permit, this position may also be assigned to the Utilities Maintenance Crew under the supervision of the Mechanical Supervisor (Preventative Maintenance). Why Join Us?
