Minimum Qualifications Preferred Qualifications Duties Relevant Criterion MGM101H5 Introduction to Management Functions (Emergency) This course shows how the principal management disciplines provide analytical tools for understanding organizations and their management, how the disciplines inter-relate and how they underpin the activities of organizations. 900 est Must have completed and achieved a superior grade in MGM101 Preference given to applicants with previous TA experience in this or equivalent course(s). a) Grading quizzes, tests, assignments & exams. b) Meet with or respond to students’ inquiries during office hours. c) Invigilate quizzes, tests & exams. d) Update material and grades on Quercus courseware. e) Attend weekly lecture and/or review lecture material. f) Hold tutorials if required g) Other duties as required MGT262H5 Psychology at Work (Emergency) Theoretical ideas and practical applications concerning individual and group behaviour in organizations. We explore relevant problems confronting management: motivation, influence, communication, supervision, decision-making, and work force diversity. 195 Must have completed and achieved a minimum grade of “A” in MGT262 or equivalent course. A Bachelor degree in Business/Commerce or related discipline, with a specialization in Human Resource Management (HRM) and/or Industrial Relations. Demonstrated expertise in the subject. Preference: PhD or MA students in HRM/Organizational Behaviour, and Industrial-Organizational Psychology. a) Grading quizzes, tests, assignments & exams. b) Meet with or respond to students inquiries during office hours. c) Invigilate quizzes, tests & exams. d) Update material and grades on Quercus courseware. e) Conduct tutorials, which may include some lecturing. f) Other duties as required. Previous experience is the more relevant criterion than the need to acquire experience in respect of this posted position. MGT300H5 Presentation Skills and Workplace Preparation (Emergency) The ability to communicate effectively is an important skill in business and when preparing for the workplace. Through oral and written communication exercises, self-reflection, and other activities students will improve their communication, presentation, interviewing and networking skills and prepare for the workplace. 80 Must have completed and achieved a minimum grade of “A” in MGT300 or equivalent course. A bachelor's degree in business/Commerce or related discipline, with a specialization in communications. a) Grading quizzes, tests, assignments & exams. b) Meet with or respond to students inquiries during office hours. c) Invigilate quizzes, tests & exams. d) Update material and grades on Quercus courseware. e) Conduct tutorials, which may include some lecturing. f) Other duties as required. Previous experience is the more relevant criterion than the need to acquire experience in respect of this posted position. MGT423H5 Canadian Income Taxation I (Emergency) This is the first of two courses in federal income tax law. It is designed to give the student a basic understanding of the Income Tax Act and its administration. This is achieved by applying the law to practical problems and cases. Topics covered include administration of the tax system, employment income, business and property income, capital gains, other income and deductions, computation of taxable income and taxes payable for individuals. The GST/HST implications, where relevant, will also be discussed. The two course sequence (MGT423H5 and MGT429H5) have been designed to provide participants with coverage of the tax content required by the professional accounting bodies. Must have completed and achieved a minimum grade of “A” in MGT423 or equivalent course. Two tax courses in Canadian Income Taxation with a grade of A- or better. Work experience in tax is preferred. a) Grading quizzes, tests, assignments & exams. b) Meet with or respond to students inquiries during office hours. c) Invigilate quizzes, tests & exams. d) Update material and grades on Quercus courseware. e) Conduct tutorials, which may include some lecturing. f) Other duties as required.
