Job Summary Under the direction of the Product Manager, the Product Technician will leverage expertise in laminated dough production—including Danish pastries, puff pastry, and turnovers—along with a strong understanding of food science and ingredient functionality to interpret project briefs, develop innovative product concepts, and present recommendations. The successful candidate will assist in the delivery of cost-reduction opportunities without compromising product quality by evaluating process and raw material change opportunities. The successful candidate will have strong practical baking skills, be self-motivated, flexible, and conscientious, with good communication and teamwork skills. He or she will be tenacious and determined, with the ability to drive multiple projects to successful completion on time and within scope, working well with others to achieve this. Job Responsibilities Support implementation of the new croissant products from concept approval, formula, and product development, plant trial runs to launch, and post-launch review by collaborating with project management, QA, and production. Administer and support multiple R&D projects and timelines. Participate in multiple plant trials, including preparing specifications and guidelines for production. Accurately document and maintain the results of the R&D plant trial runs. Other work-related tasks. Qualifications and Requirements Degree in the Baking & Pastry Arts or equivalent. Familiar with commercial bakeries and fast-paced production environments Solid understanding of the pastry and croissant category, and knowledge of food production methods. 2-4 years' experience in R&D, product innovation commercialization, and brand communications. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Workdays and hours: from Monday to Friday from 7 am to 3:30 pm. Pay: $60-$65K.
