Reporting to the Mechanical Department Manager, the Apprentice Millwright will work across a variety of projects and teams, supporting new installations, maintenance, repairs, and mechanical upgrades in industrial environments throughout the Lower Mainland. Key responsibilities include: * Travel to industrial customer sites across the Lower Mainland; * Assist with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, alignment, and repair of industrial machinery and equipment, including pumps, fans, ovens, and conveyors; * Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to support safe and accurate work; * Use hand and power tools to assemble, disassemble, and install mechanical equipment; * Identify potential hazards, assess risks, and follow established safety procedures and regulations; * Complete required job documentation, paperwork, and daily FLRAs; * Work collaboratively with Journeyperson Millwrights and other trades to complete projects safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate is someone who has completed their Level 2 Millwright Technical Training and has hands-on experience working in industrial environments. You’re eager to grow and advance your career as a Millwright through hands-on learning, mentorship, and exposure to a variety of projects. You’re mechanically inclined, curious, and motivated by the opportunity to learn new skills, investigate problems, and develop practical solutions. Our Must Haves * Successful completion of Level 2 - Millwright Apprenticeship; * Owns personal hand tools and approved footwear; * Hold a valid Class 5 Driver’s License and has reliable transportation; * Experience working in manufacturing, distribution, food and beverage, or recycling facilities is considered an asset; * Experience working for a mechanical contractor is considered an asset.
