The Senior Asset Accountant supports accounting and financial management for large-scale wind, solar and battery-storage operations, working with multiple internal and external teams to ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and efficient asset accounting processes. Responsibilities Oversee full-cycle accounting functions for assigned assets, ensuring accuracy, policy compliance, GAAP adherence, and regulatory compliance Produce accurate and timely monthly financial reports for assigned assets Prepare reports and documentation for third-party partners and external audits Partner with Asset Managers, FP&A and business teams to support monthly and quarterly reporting Support and complete month-end and year-end close processes Review the classification accuracy of vendor and subcontractor invoices Perform financial variance analysis Perform balance sheet reconciliation Support production of quarterly and annual financial statements Establish and maintain accounting processes Other duties as assigned Requirements BS degree in Accounting or Finance 5+ years of accounting experience, covering multiple areas of accounting including reporting Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases Netsuite and Onestream experience preferred Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations High attention to detail and accuracy Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to work independently Strong work ethic and high work standards Must have strong organizational capacity to simultaneously manage multiple assets with competing deadlines and be able to quickly adapt to changes and shift priorities to meet asset needs and deadlines Location: Preferred location is Gatineau, QC
