Duration: 12 Months Contract (Extension Possible | Conversion Possible) Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Occasional overtime required. Note: Candidates may be required to work on select Canadian statutory holidays on a rotational basis to support U.S. and U.K. business needs. Job Description: • We are seeking an experienced SBLC/Guarantees Team Analyst II to support the Global Trade Finance Operations team. • This role combines operational, administrative, and transactional responsibilities involving Standby Letters of Credit (SBLCs) and Bank Guarantees. • The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, drafting, issuing, advising, and amending guarantees while ensuring compliance with AML procedures, regulatory requirements, and internal policies. • This is a long-term contract opportunity within a collaborative team environment supporting North American and international clients. Responsibilities: • Review guarantee text requested by clients and provide guidance to clients and relationship managers. • Draft, issue, advise, and amend various types of SBLCs and Bank Guarantees. • Process related requests, inquiries, and correspondence regarding issued or advised guarantees. • Release transactions in accordance with operational volumes and team requirements. • Deliver timely and efficient service in line with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs). • Monitor workflow, prioritize daily activities, and support efficient distribution of requests across the team. • Participate in monthly reporting and reconciliation activities. • Ensure appropriate controls are maintained to minimize operational and regulatory risks. • Provide technical trade finance advice to internal partners and clients. • Ensure adherence to internal policies, trade finance procedures, and regulatory guidelines. • Identify operational gaps and risks and recommend documented solutions. • Complete due diligence requirements in accordance with Trade Finance AML procedures. • Support ad hoc projects and operational initiatives as required. • Maintain process accuracy, consistency, and strong process management practices. Experience: Must Have: 3 to 5 years of Trade Finance experience with a focus on Standby Letters of Credit (SBLCs) and Bank Guarantees. Must Have: Strong knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations and procedures. • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience within a Trade Finance Guarantees Operations environment. • Strong understanding of ICC Rules including UCP 600, ISP98, and URDG 758. • Knowledge of trade finance operational processes and transaction lifecycle. • Demonstrated experience in client service and relationship management. • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Bilingual English/French candidates are highly preferred. • Spanish language skills are considered an asset. Work Location: • Hybrid work model. • First 3 months: 5 days per week onsite for training. • Post-training: Minimum 3 days per week onsite. • Preferred Location: Montreal, QC (Bilingual candidates strongly preferred). • Secondary Location: Toronto, ON. • Calgary, AB and Vancouver, BC may also be considered.
