• Lead interface between the Chief Engineering team and the Product Release Center, primarily responsible for managing system interactions and interfaces between components and subsystems of the Driveline System. Design Systems / Applications Engineer reports to the Chief Engineer for multiple programs. • Looking for an experienced automotive systems engineer with expertise in driveline/powertrain integration, DFMEA/DRBFM, validation, and cross-functional leadership. Join a team driving next-generation vehicle programs from concept through launch. Responsibilities include: • Driveline System hardware system responsible (integration and system balancing of all EDM gearbox components) Interfacing with individual Design Release Engineers and COEs • Manufacturing • Suppliers • Development Validation Center • Schedules hardware system design reviews across PRC and reviews DRE design proposals as required • Organize reviews with Virtual Analysis / CAE team and ensures Virtual DVP / Scorecard is completed prior to any prototype hardware orders • Manage Driveline System and Interface DFMEA / DRBFM (team) reviews to ensure complete transparency and development of cohesive Design Controls leading to Robust DVP Actions • Supports CE & ACE to develop FTE and ER&D/ED&D Cost Roll • ups for Minor/MCA/ New Programs • Review and approve all change notices ensuring checklists, LL, and E • BPs are updated and aligned. • Leads Technical Cost Reductions (TCRs) / Value Optimization (VO) effort and alignment working closely with PRC, DVC and VO teams • moved from AE responsibilities to align better • Represents CE in managing the "lessons learned” document for the program and ensure that TS (Technical Specialist) receive those updates on a timely manner to update the E • BPs accordingly • Reviews driveline system and applicable component "Validation Completion” status with DVC team periodically & provides update to CE • Coordinates DRBTR review and keeper of "follow up items” and decision maker on issuing GIMS for buds of problems • Manage CQI and GIMS cross functional task force teams working closely with ACE, create priorities, action plans and track progress, align and update initiatives list.
