Our Health, Safety & Environment group is currently looking to add a Health &Safety Administrator to our team, based in Edmonton, AB. Reporting to the Supervisor, Safety Programs, we are seeking a detail-oriented and organized administrative professional with a background in health and safety to provide support, administration, and document control across Valard's HS&E department. This role supports safety analytics, contractor compliance, electronic system management, and safety records management across Valard Construction and sister companies as required. Duties And Responsibilities Manage Valard's electronic health and safety reporting tool (BIS / SafeTapp), including training, troubleshooting, reporting, form creation, and system enhancements Conduct quality reviews of submitted incident reports and maintain safety statistics and incident tracking, identifying and reporting trends as they arise Maintain company and client compliance databases, making updates as needed across platforms including ISNetworld, ComplyWorks, Avetta, Cognibox, and CQN Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual safety reports as required; presentation of findings may be required Prepare safety documentation for audits and provide audit support as required Create and update process and policy documentation, and maintain inspection records Maintain open communication with field and project team members to ensure safety record management requirements are met Maintain Valard's safety positive incentive program Record and distribute meeting minutes Assist in training and mentoring junior administrators or modified workers Assist with general office duties as needed, including coordinating supply shipments to work sites Occasional travel may be required Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent 2 years of experience in an administrative Health and Safety role Strong organizational and administrative skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint Preferred Skills / Qualifications Health Safety Administrator (AHSA) certification or equivalent Experience with contractor management platforms such as Avetta, ISNetworld, or ComplyWorks Experience with safety management software such as BIS or SafeTapp Benefits We offer a comprehensive and competitive total rewards package that incorporates a complete range of employee benefits, including a 5% RRSP matching program, to ensure you have the tools necessary to manage, maintain, and improve your health and wellbeing.
