Our Telecommunications group is currently looking to add a Labourer to our team, based in Winnipeg, MB. Reporting to the Foreman, we are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Construction Labourers with the ability to support a variety of job functions. This position is responsible for day-to-day manual tasks on the project and must demonstrate a sound work ethic to complete physical tasks. Please Note: This position will work 5 - 6 days / week, 10 hours / day outdoors in a variety of conditions. Duties And Responsibilities Complete job tasks (including but not limited to: Sweeping, Shoveling, Assembling, Cleaning) Provide manual labour assistance as required Transport appropriate tools to the worksite, confirm all tools function properly before use, and ensure equipment and tools are safely stored Operate basic hand and power tools in a safe manner (including, but not limited to: skill saws, snow blowers, grinders etc.) Adhere to all company specific and industry specific safety regulations, ensuring highest standard of safety is upheld Participate in tailboard meetings, including identification of potential work site hazards Report potential hazards to Foremen or Journeymen Other duties as required by crews Requirements Previous Construction experience Class 5 drivers license with clean drivers abstract Physically fit with the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds Proven knowledge of safety practices, procedures and requirements Knowledge of safe operation of basic hand and power tools Benefits We offer a comprehensive and competitive total rewards package that incorporates a complete range of employee benefits, including an RRSP matching program, to ensure you have the tools necessary to manage, maintain, and improve your health and wellbeing.
