Senior Business Analyst Consultant

Location: Edmonton, Alberta, Canada (Hybrid / Remote) Work Model: Remote or Hybrid Employment Type: Contract - Full-Time Consulting Engagement Estimated Hours: Up to :2000 hours per year Contract Start Date: Expected April 2026 Initial Contract Term: 1 Year Extension Options: Two additional 1-year extensions Maximum Contract Duration: 3 Years Equipment: Consultant must provide own workspace and equipment Onsite Requirement: Initial onboarding or meetings may require presence in Edmonton The Senior Business Analyst Consultant will lead enterprise business analysis activities supporting the modernization of housing program platforms and digital services. The consultant will collaborate with Government of Alberta teams, contractors, and digital delivery partners to ensure business requirements are accurately translated into effective technology solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and program goals. Key Responsibilities Business Analysis Leadership Lead enterprise-level business analysis activities. Conduct requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation. Facilitate workshops with stakeholders across ministries and partner organizations. Business Process Analysis Analyze existing processes and recommend improvements. Redesign workflows to improve housing program service delivery. Solution Design Translate business requirements into functional specifications and solution designs. Support enterprise technology implementation initiatives. System Integration & Data Migration Coordinate system integrations between Microsoft Dynamics 365 HOME platform and 1GX ERP. Support data migration from legacy systems. Testing & Quality Assurance Assist in test planning, QA processes, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Ensure systems meet business requirements and operational needs. Stakeholder Engagement Facilitate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder consultations. Collaborate with ASHC program teams and technical delivery partners. Digital Service Development Support digital housing services including: Find Housing platform Waitlist management system Partner Portal applications Education Post-secondary diploma or degree in: Business Administration Information Technology Computer Science Related discipline Experience Minimum 15+ years of senior business analysis experience Experience in large enterprise environments Experience in enterprise technology implementations Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar CRM platforms Preferred Experience Experience with government or public sector organizations Experience in digital service delivery or platform modernization Preferred Certifications CBAP - Certified Business Analysis Professional PMI-PBA - PMI Professional in Business Analysis Prosci Change Management Certification Equivalent certifications will be considered.
