Vertex is growing, and we're looking for Combo/Semi-Vac Operators to join our Blackfoot, AB team. We're seeking local candidates from the Blackfoot/Lloydminster area. Job Description We are currently looking for Full Time Combo/Semi-Vac Operators to join our team! We are looking for Operators who are looking for full time work. Why Work with Us? Competitive Compensation Benefits Packages including Health, Dental & Vision Employment close to home Schedule allows work life balance A Safe Working Environment Stable Employment Provided PPE Duties and Responsibilities Ensure customer and client satisfaction by providing excellent customer service at all times Operate combo and/or semi-vac units for industrial cleaning and waste removal Perform vacuuming of liquids, sludge, drilling fluids, and debris from tanks, pits, sumps, and vessels Use high-pressure water systems to break up solids before vacuuming Control vacuum hoses, boom systems, and valves safely during operations Perform maintenance on units to ensure cleanliness and efficient operation Complete and maintain all required paperwork and documentation properly within set timelines; this includes daily logs, dispatch and trip reports and time sheets Follow all local, provincial and federal compliance regulations and rules Perform pre and post trip inspections, follow company policies and procedures for routine maintenance, perform general housekeeping to ensure units are operating properly and report any inefficiency to Supervisor Safely observe all company operating guidelines and procedures Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines Candidate Qualifications Valid Class 1 driver’s license with a clean commercial abstract Minimum 2 years of Combo and/or Semi-Vac operating experience ELD logbook experience Possess H2S Alive, First Aid and CSO safety tickets Clean Drug & Alcohol Testing (Provided by Vertex) Demonstrate a commitment to environmental compliance and safe work practices Ability to work independently while managing time and productivity Must be in good health and physical condition to perform duties assigned Integrity and reliability, willing to accept out of town work when applicable/necessary Knowledge and experience in Pulp & Paper, Thermal and Oil & Gas considered an asset Company Description Vertex is a leading provider of environmental solutions, a unique combination of environmental consulting and environmental field services and equipment.
