The RVT also assists the Veterinarian with medical, surgical and dental procedures, by using a range of diagnostic equipment, preparing patients, instruments and equipment for surgery; and administering and monitoring medicines under the direction of a Veterinarian. Our ideal Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) must have passed the VTNE or be eligible to write the VTNE, be in good standing with the provincial regulatory association and successfully completed a 2 or 3-year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technology Diploma Program. The Registered Veterinary Technologist assists veterinarians with medical, surgical, and dental procedures while utilizing diagnostic equipment. They are also responsible for building positive client relationships and providing exceptional customer service.

Candidates must have completed a 2 or 3-year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technology Diploma Program. Additionally, they must have passed or be eligible to write the VTNE and be in good standing with the provincial regulatory association.
