What we offer Hourly wage: $34.36/hour Shift premiums: evening ($1.50/hour), night ($2.00/hour) Comprehensive benefits (medical and dental) and pension plan Travel pass after one year of service Uniforms and equipment provided (boots, safety glasses, helmet, gloves) Free parking, locker rooms, showers, and cafeteria 5 personal days and up to 10 sick days Your responsibilities Clean interior and exterior of passenger railway cars Vacuum, wash carpets, wipe down tables and seating areas Clean and sanitize washrooms, showers, kitchen, windows Drain and refill potable water reservoirs Drain wastewater retention tanks Preform duties outdoors in various weather conditions What we’re looking for Possess a High School Diploma Valid driver's license required Experience in housekeeping, commercial cleaning or building maintenance Ability to work various shifts (day, evening, night, weekends) Physically capable of lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs) Mechanical aptitudes is an asset Strong focus on quality, results and efficiency Schedule Permanent position (40 hours per week) Variable schedule (days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays) Overtime available Work location Vancouver Maintenance Center or Mission Maintenance Centre As a condition of employment, candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain all required transportation security clearances.
