Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, the Director of Procurement will lead the organization's procurement function, driving systems optimization and process improvement. Your tasks at a glance Develop and execute procurement strategies that support organizational objectives, operational excellence, and sustainable growth. Establish and monitor departmental objectives, KPIs, and performance measures in collaboration with the Director of Supply Chain. Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, contract negotiations, and supplier management activities to maximize value, mitigate risk, and ensure service excellence. Optimize inventory management and procurement processes across a multi-site environment to improve product availability, inventory performance, and operational efficiency. Identify and implement opportunities for cost reduction, standardization, automation, and continuous improvement throughout the procurement and supply chain lifecycle. Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships while monitoring performance, quality, service levels, and contractual compliance. Collaborate with clinical, operational, financial, and technology stakeholders to support business objectives and drive cross-functional initiatives. Leverage data, analytics, and technology to support informed decision-making, enhanced reporting, and process optimization. Lead organizational procurement projects, including system enhancements, workflow improvements, and supply chain optimization initiatives. Develop, coach, and lead a high-performing procurement team while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and customer service. A clear view of your assets Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field (Required) Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Power BI, Tableau, automation technologies, and artificial intelligence solutions is an asset. Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and analytical skills. Proven ability to lead change, influence stakeholders, and deliver measurable results. Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and team development skills. Customer-focused with a continuous improvement mindset. Professional designation such as SCMP, CPSM, or CSCP is considered an asset. Minimum ten (10) years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or a related field. Minimum five (5) years of leadership experience managing teams and complex procurement initiatives. Demonstrated success in strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, inventory optimization, contract negotiations, and process improvement. You are comfortable to travel if required. Experience operating within a multi-site environment is considered an asset. Fluency in French and in English, as you will have to communicate with unilingual English-speaking employees and service providers across Canada.
