Lawyer - Corporate/Business Law (Independent Contractor) The Opportunity: Vistera gives small and mid-sized businesses on-demand access to legal, HR, and financial expertise through a subscription platform accelerated by our proprietary AI, Vero, and backed by a network of licensed professionals. We’re seeking experienced Lawyers to provide practical, on-demand legal support to small and mid-sized organizations. As a Fractional Lawyer, you’ll advise multiple clients on contracts, compliance, and business strategy, helping them make confident, informed decisions while managing your own schedule. This is a great opportunity to work closely with leadership, solve legal challenges, and make a meaningful difference for multiple organizations. Location: Alberta - Remote Position Type: Contractor Department: Delivery Compensation: $100-$150/hour, dependent on experience What You’ll Do: Provide strategic legal advice on corporate or employment law matters Serve as a trusted legal advisor to growing businesses across different industries Help clients prevent, navigate, and resolve legal challenges while ensuring regulatory compliance Negotiate contracts, transactions, and settlements on behalf of clients Manage multiple clients and legal matters with varying priorities and deadlines Contribute to innovative approaches in legal delivery What We’re Looking For: 5+ years of experience in employment, business law, corporate/commercial, or general counsel-type roles Proven strength in drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements Ability to navigate client needs with business acumen and practical legal judgment Comfortable working in collaborative, tech-enabled environments Member in good standing with their provincial Law Society.
