At V!VA we put people first. We are looking for just the right person who shares V!VA’s mission - Making Today Great! The Career. The Concierge & Office Manager reports to the Community Director. The incumbent will be responsible for Community management, health and safety management for seniors, managing Team Members, and contributing to the overall success of the Management Team and the Community. While responsibilities for leadership include all Team Members, the Concierge & Office Manager is directly responsible for managing the Concierge, providing on-site accounting support for all managers, performing a variety of administrative tasks for the efficient operation of the office, including management of files, rental payments, and front office duties. An energetic, motivated leader that is able to inspire others to provide the highest standards of performance and customer service. The role includes Coordination duties as a liaison for Community Members and the operations team to coordinate all aspects related to a move in. This role holds highly confidential information about prospects and as such, also requires a high level of accuracy and accountability. Qualifications Customer service experience preferably within the retirement living or hospitality related industries. Minimum 3-5 years hands-on experience in a hotel front office, reception, office and/or property management or customer service role; accounting and/or office administration experience is an asset. Capable in working a highly customer service-oriented environment and thriving on making a difference in the lives of seniors. Confident, results oriented, self-starter. Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interacting in a leadership role with Community Members, their families and external services and resources. Strong time management, organizational, communications skills, both verbal and written English. Strong computer skills for job-related functions including use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically in Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams and various job-related software programs. Ability to work flexible hours and some weekends, some evenings and be on call for emergencies. Good problem solving and excellent organizational skills Ability to manage their time effectively with little supervision Up to date police check-vulnerable sector * verified annually and TB Testing as required by the RHRA Ability to work as a Team Member, understanding the priorities of others Able to bend, stretch, sit and stand for long periods. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Has access to a car and maintains a valid Driver’s license. V!VA Retirement Communities welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
