About the Job We are looking for a Licensed Millwright at our Walker Compost & Packaging Facility in Arthur, ON. Our millwrights perform preventive and curative maintenance on a wide variety of mobile and fixed plant equipment at our site in Arthur, ON. This position will be reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor. The wage for this position is $43.86/hour. What You'll Be Doing * Inspecting machinery and equipment to detect defects and irregularities. * Using welding equipment and power tools to fabricate parts during maintenance or set-up of machinery. * Interpreting blueprints and schematic drawings to follow work procedures. * Troubleshooting in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications and requirements. * Repairing or replacing defective components using hand and power tools. * Designing, welding and manufacturing custom parts when needed. * Performing PMs. * Exercising good judgement and discretion in prioritizing maintenance repairs. * Demonstrating a strong commitment to established safety protocols and best work practices. Here's What You Need * Millwright license, completion of an apprenticeship program in industrial machinery repair or millwrighting. * Experience as a heavy duty equipment mechanic (421A) is an asset. * Demonstrated ability to pay close attention to details makes sure work is done correctly and thoroughly. Keeping accurate records. * Demonstrated knowledge of health and safety and environmental regulations and legislation. * Able to work with limited supervision and to take discretionary action as required.
