Class 3 Driver

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment, commercial trucks, trailers, and other company vehicles to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. This position requires strong mechanical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to minimizing equipment downtime. Responsibilities: Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, and other company vehicles. Perform preventative maintenance, including oil changes, greasing, fluid checks, filter replacements, and scheduled servicing. Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, air brake, and engine issues. Repair or replace defective components, parts, and systems. Complete safety inspections and ensure equipment meets operational standards. Maintain accurate service and maintenance records. Respond to equipment breakdowns in the shop or in the field as required. Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe. Order or identify required parts and communicate repair needs with management. Follow all company safety policies and manufacturer recommendations. Assist with welding, fabrication, and equipment modifications when required. Perform other shop and maintenance duties as assigned. Qualifications: Experience repairing and maintaining heavy equipment and commercial trucks. Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and air brake systems. Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues efficiently. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid Class 5 driver's licence required. Class 3 or Class 1 driver's licence is considered an asset. Preffered Assets: Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic certification or Apprentice status is considered an asset. Experience with construction and agricultural equipment. Welding and fabrication experience. CVIP inspection certification is considered an asset.
