I. Job Summary The Lead Trainer is responsible for coaching, developing and supporting a team of trainers who deliver operations-focused programs for newly hired drivers, operations managers, technicians and fleet managers. This role ensures training effectiveness by providing guidance on facilitation skills and adult learning best practices. The Lead Trainer also fosters a culture of professional growth, ensures trainers are equipped with the necessary tools and resources to enhance learning outcomes and operational performance. The Lead Trainer may also serve in a delivery role or spend time supporting other operational needs of the WM Training Center (WMTC). During the first six months, this position will involve frequent travel to the U.S., with trips lasting up to two weeks at a time. II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Supports the Training Manager with the management of the training team to ensure quality execution of training delivery * Collaborates with WMTC leadership team to ensure consistent execution of delivery standards defined within the training center standard operating procedures * Observes, coaches, and provides feedback using coaching techniques and models to encourage and motivate WMTC trainers towards continuous improvement * Provides direction and feedback to team members on the verbal and/or written recommendations they communicate to the field related to performance observations and interventions * Participates in the recruitment and selection process for prospective WM Trainers with WMTC leadership * Oversees the onboarding process for new trainers, performs new hire training and conducts a readiness assessment * Creates a safe and inclusive learning environment to ensure a positive learning experience for training teams and new hire trainees * Assists the Training Manager with performance evaluations, professional development, and potential succession/advancements ensuring consistent criteria and practices are followed * Delivers training as needed to new and existing WM team members to ensure the business requirements are met * Assists the Training Manager with the scheduling of training programs and trainer assignments III. Qualifications A. Required Qualifications * High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four (4) years of relevant work experience * In addition to educational requirements and * 2 years of supervisory experience either as a supervisor or in a delegated team lead role and * 3 years delivering training to adult learners in a variety of learning methods in an operations environment B. Preferred Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree (accredited) * Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class B without Airbrake restriction * Bilingual (French and English) IV. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location. This position is for an existing vacancy. In addition, this position is eligible for bonus. V.
