This is a commission-only position. The Sales Representative will be expected to actively visit retailers face-to-face to present our collection, build relationships, and develop new business. The representative will be responsible for covering all travel and business expenses. Position Description Independent Sales Representative – Canada (Ontario/Quebec) Waymark is looking for an experienced Independent Sales Representative to develop our wholesale business throughout Ontario and/or Quebec. This is a field-based outside sales opportunity for a motivated sales professional who enjoys building long-term relationships with independent outdoor retailers and growing premium brands. As the exclusive Waymark representative for Ontario and/or Quebec, you will be responsible for introducing the brand to specialty outdoor retailers, opening new wholesale accounts, servicing existing customers, and driving seasonal sales growth. You will regularly present new collections, conduct product demonstrations, write preseason and reorder business, and provide outstanding support to retail partners throughout the country. A successful candidate will spend the majority of their time traveling throughout Ontario and/or Quebec and visiting retailers in person. Building strong relationships through regular face-to-face meetings with store owners, buyers, and sales staff is a fundamental part of this opportunity. You will also represent Waymark at regional trade shows, dealer events, sales meetings, and other industry gatherings while providing valuable market intelligence and customer feedback to help support future product development and sales strategies. This opportunity is offered on an independent contractor basis and is designed for entrepreneurial sales professionals who enjoy managing their own territory and growing a premium outdoor brand. Compensation is 100% commission-based, offering unlimited earning potential based entirely on your sales performance. Compensation & Independent Contractor Status This opportunity is offered on an independent contractor basis. Compensation is 100% commission-based, with no base salary, draw, employee benefits, paid time off, or expense reimbursement. You will operate as an independent business professional, managing your own sales activities while developing the assigned territory. As a field sales representative, you will be expected to travel extensively throughout Ontario and/or Quebec and make regular in-person visits to specialty outdoor retailers to present Waymark collections, build relationships with buyers, write orders, and service existing accounts. The Representative is solely responsible for all business and travel expenses, including, but not limited to, vehicle expenses, fuel, airfare, lodging, meals, parking, insurance, trade show attendance, and any other costs incurred while servicing the territory. Waymark does not reimburse travel or operating expenses. Qualifications Sales Experience Proven experience selling outdoor apparel, sporting goods, footwear, or premium consumer brands. Existing relationships with specialty outdoor retailers are highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to prospect, negotiate, close business, and consistently achieve sales goals. Relationship Building Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build long-term relationships with retailers, buyers, and key decision-makers. Professional, self-motivated, and customer-focused. Outdoor Industry Knowledge Passion for hiking, trekking, backpacking, skiing, or the outdoor lifestyle. Good understanding of the specialty outdoor retail market and consumer trends. Organization & Territory Management Ability to independently manage a nationwide sales territory. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Experience planning efficient travel routes and maintaining regular account visits. Comfortable using CRM systems, digital sales tools, and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace. Additional Requirements Must reside within or near the assigned territory. Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle. Willingness to travel extensively throughout Ontario and/or Quebec. Ability to conduct frequent face-to-face sales presentations and retailer visits. Legally authorized to work in Ontario and/or Quebec. Previous experience as an Independent Sales Representative or with a multi-line sales agency is strongly preferred.
