Carpenter Foreman Company Description WB Melback Corporation is a wholly Canadian owned company with headquarters based in Haileybury, Ontario with job sites all over the country. WB Melback Corporation provides Mechanical Maintenance and Industrial Construction Services to Forestry and Mining sectors across Canada. We are currently seeking a Carpenter Foreman based out of the Temiskaming Shores area to join our team. Job Summary Responsible for supervising and coordinating carpentry crews engaged in concrete forming and related construction activities. Ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and schedules. Provides leadership, direction, and support to crew members while maintaining quality standards and productivity targets. Key Responsibilities: Safety Compliance: Enforce and follow all safety regulations and site-specific requirements Crew Supervision: Lead, coordinate, and direct carpentry/forming crews on site Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and work plans Planning & Coordination: Organize daily work activities, manpower, and material requirements Form work Oversight: Ensure proper construction, alignment, and installation of form work systems Quality Control: Ensure all work meets required standards and project specifications Communication: Liaise with site supervision, project managers, and other trades Productivity Management: Monitor progress and ensure work is completed on schedule Tool & Equipment Oversight: Ensure tools and equipment are used safely and maintained properly Reporting: Provide updates on progress, manpower, and site conditions as required Requirements: Experience as a Carpenter and/or Form work Carpenter in industrial or commercial construction Previous leadership or supervisory experience considered an asset Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to lead crews in remote and industrial project environments Commitment to safety, quality, and productivity standards Location: Temiskaming Shores, Ontario Work Type: On Site Sector: Heavy Industrial Multi-Disciplined Projects Hours: 10-hour shifts (30-minute unpaid lunch) Compensation: $31.28 – $51.00 per hour, based on collective agreement and experience Additional Benefits: Accommodations provided Daily meal allowance provided Travel costs covered (flights from home to site or driving allowance based on distance from site) *DSP CONTRACT ALSO CONSIDERED How to Apply: Submit resumes at: www.wbmelback.bamboohr.com/careers While we thank all applicants for their interest, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
