Serving women and their families in York Region since 1977, we believe that every woman deserves to feel empowered and live to her full potential. For women who have identified the need and desire for positive change in their lives, Women’s Centre of York Region offers unique programming and services that address a range of circumstances. Unlike any other organization in York Region, our programs and services are offered at little or no cost. In a safe and inclusive environment, we welcome each woman and meet her right where she is. Our goal is to fully support each woman on her personal journey of discovery in order that she thrives fully. Program Manager

The Program Manager is responsible for the management and quality assurance of organizational programs, including the supervision of staff and the development of strategic work plans. They also oversee budget management, community partnerships, and ensure compliance with regulatory and funding requirements.

Housing Case Manager

Provide individual supports and short-term case management to community members who are homeless or at risk of losing housing. Facilitate community engagement, outreach, and the development of housing resources and roommate matching programs.

Landlord Engagement Worker

The role focuses on building partnerships with landlords and housing providers to expand rental opportunities for women and families experiencing housing instability. It also involves matching clients with suitable housing and providing post-placement support for up to six months to ensure tenancy stability.

Counsellor

Hybride · Newmarket

Provide short-term counselling and emotional support to women experiencing violence, focusing on safety planning and goal setting. Manage a caseload of 30+ clients through in-person, virtual, and phone modalities while collaborating with community agencies.

Payroll and Pension Administrator

Hybride · Newmarket

Responsible for the accurate and timely administration of payroll and pension processes, including remittances and statutory compliance. Maintains confidential employee records and coordinates with the Executive Director and external providers to ensure operational efficiency.

Employment Case Manager

Hybride · Newmarket

Provide one-on-one case management to help clients achieve employment, education, and financial stability goals. Develop individualized action plans and connect clients to community resources and training pathways.
